David Brown, Tractors from Ferguson-Brown to Maxxum

David Brown Tractors Ltd manufactured tractors for 52 years in Yorkshire, England. The brand also became familiar to Finns in 1949, when the first David Brown tractors arrived in our country. The tractor was well received in the mechanized agricultural country, and more than 30 years after the end of the tractor's production, red and white Taavettes were hard at work in the fields.

The book tells about the company, its history, products, innovations and people, but above all about tractors. The authors are David Brown enthusiasts who have used the best of English mechanical literature as source material as well as their own experiences, which have been accumulated by several visits to Meltham, the birthplace of the tractor. The illustration mainly consists of tractors that served in Finland, which Esko Peranto has photographed over the years.
