For the Fatherland 1939-1945

For the Fatherland 19391945, next to the heroes' graves, presents hero memorials and the life course from the time when 93,000 fathers, sons and husbands were blessed in the multi of the home municipalities. Along with the monuments, the trials of the home front are also told with photographs taken in these towns during the war years.

Despite the book's shocking subject matter, you can also experience joy when browsing it; joy that today we have the privilege of living in an independent Finland. Above all, the book reminds us of gratitude towards those people who literally gave their all for the motherland when forced to do so, both on the home front and on the battlefields.
