1.6-, 1.8-, 2.0-, 2.5-, 2.8-, 3.0- and 3.4-liter 4- and 6-cylinder OHC gasoline engines (1596 cm³, 1766 cm³, 1795 cm³, 1990 cm³, 2494 cm³, 2788 cm³, 2986 cm³ and 3430 cm³) BMW 300 series (E30 body model) and BMW 500 series (E28 and E34 body models). The manual does not cover DOHC and V8 gasoline engines, diesel engines, or four-wheel drive.
